A successful request produces a compatible MP4 file from the accessible source. The filename alone does not guarantee a video track, sound, HD resolution or a complete recording.

Windows or Mac

A lesson that plays in your enrolled account may require account access or DRM. IOdown cannot inherit enrollment from the link or unlock paid lessons.

The result is shorter, silent or looks different

Compare lesson duration and listen for the expected audio. Course notes and subtitle files are separate resources; an MP4 request does not include them automatically.

The prepared file has expired

Request the original media page again only if it is still accessible. The temporary file expiry is shown with the result; do not reuse an expired output link.

If the service reports that it is busy, wait before retrying. A source-access error needs a different check: confirm the original item still exists and is publicly accessible. Repeatedly submitting a restricted or unavailable item does not grant access.
