To download video from TikTok, copy the individual item’s link, paste it into IOdown and select Get video. Once processing finishes, check the result and choose Download MP4 to save a file to your device. Use only content you own or have permission to download.
Copy the TikTok video link
Open one completed TikTok video, select Share and copy its link. A full video URL or a working vm.tiktok.com or vt.tiktok.com share link can identify the video. Paste only the URL, without the surrounding share message.
Paste the link and request the file
Paste the URL into the Video link field above and select Get video. Keep the page open while the request is queued and processed. If an error appears, read it before retrying; a valid link does not guarantee access to the media.
Preview and save the MP4
When a file is ready, play the preview and check its duration and sound. Choose Download MP4 before the displayed expiry time. Locate the file in your browser’s downloads list or your device’s Files or Downloads folder.
Check that the post is a video rather than a photo slideshow or an ongoing LIVE. IOdown adds no watermark, but a watermark already present in the accessible source can remain in the saved file.

Resolution depends on the versions the source provides. IOdown does not turn a low-resolution upload into HD or 4K. Missing or muted source audio cannot be recreated by downloading it.

Android
Confirm the browser’s download prompt, then check Downloads in your file manager. A saved video may also appear in your gallery. If it only opens in a player, use the browser or player menu to save the file.
Windows or Mac
Choose Download MP4 and use the browser’s download list to locate the file. If a player opens instead, use its save action. Keep the .mp4 extension and open the result in a compatible media player.
WHEN A LINK DOES NOT WORK
TikTok download troubleshooting
Start with this TikTok check
First open the original TikTok post and check that it is a video rather than a photo slideshow. If the video was deleted, made private or restricted by a login or region check, this page cannot restore access. For a broken short link, copy a fresh share URL from the original post.
- The link is rejected
- Use the full HTTPS page URL for one media item. Remove surrounding share-message text, but keep the media ID and any required query parameters. A profile, search page or direct file link is not the same as a media page.
- The source refuses access
- A public page can still be restricted by region, login requirements or server access checks. Your browser session is not shared with IOdown. Follow the specific error shown instead of repeatedly submitting the same link.
- Processing takes longer than expected
- Check whether progress is still moving. Long recordings and slow source hosts take more time. If the service asks you to wait because it is busy, wait before creating another request.
- The download link expired
- Prepared files are temporary. Submit the original media-page link again to request a new copy, provided the source is still accessible. The expiry shown with the result is the time to follow.

How do I save a TikTok video from its link?

Can I download video online without an app or login?
Yes, you can request an available TikTok video in your browser without installing an app, adding an extension or creating an IOdown account. Paste the public video page link above. IOdown does not use your TikTok login, so videos that require authentication may be unavailable.
Will my TikTok video download have a watermark?
IOdown adds no watermark of its own. Logos, captions and watermarks already embedded in the source remain. The version TikTok makes available determines the result; a watermark-free file is not guaranteed.
Where is the video saved on my phone?
On iPhone or iPad, check your browser’s downloads list and the Files app. If the downloaded video’s share menu offers Save Video, you can save it to Photos. On Android, check the Downloads folder; your gallery may also display the saved MP4. A preview playing in the browser does not mean the file has been saved.
Can I download TikTok Stories, photos, slideshows or MP3 audio?
No. This page downloads an available individual video as MP4. It does not offer a Story viewer, photo or slideshow export, MP3 conversion, LIVE recording, profile download or a browser extension.
Why does the video link fail or expire?
A removed, private or restricted TikTok video may not be accessible to the download server. Check the error shown before retrying. Prepared files are temporary and normally removed 15 minutes after processing finishes; follow the expiry shown beside your result. If it has expired, submit the original video page again.
